Title
Motif # 1, Rockport, MA
Artist
Eileen Patten Oliver
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
This was the very first painting I did when I moved from Maine to Cape Ann, and what better subject for that first painting?! The red fish shack known as Motif #1 as it has been painted and photographed by so many artists. The Motif is seen here with the Schooner (also known as a "Pinky") Maine out of Gloucester. Parts from the Maine were used later in the year in the building of the pinky Ardelle. This was painted not long before the Maine was permanently taken out of the water.
