Description
Vaughan Brook in Hallowell, Maine is located on the beautiful Vaughan Homestead . The brook flows through the woods coming down from Cascade Pond, which is a dammed, manmade pond. Water falls through the crevices in the wall of the dam creating a beautiful waterfall effect to mirror the natural falls all along the brook which then feeds into the Kennebec River. It is one of my favorite places and one I have painted many times.

This is wonderful, Eileen. I so like the red ground with the roots coming through, and then the same thing repeats with the roots in the green mossy area in the lower right. Lovely gallery! like
