Description
The easternmost place in the USA, West Quoddy Head State Park is in Lubec, Maine, where I lived from 1998 until 2005. The sun rises here first, and in this painting the early morning sun lights up the jagged, craggy rocks and cliffs along the shore This spot is called Gulliver's Hole. When I lived in Lubec I spent many hours in this location, watching whales and seals (this is all part of the Bay of Fundy... Grand Manan, Canada is on the horizon) and just enjoying the beauty of this ancient place. The hiking trails through the forest, heavy with the aroma of the pine trees that abound there, are incredible for their beauty and have paths for people of all abilities to enjoy.
